The Drowning of Hyrule

When the Beast’s seal broke in the Sacred Realm, Farore looked far and wide for her boy in green. Alas, the cycle had been distorted and he was no where to be found. The Triforce of Courage shattered with Farore’s heartache and her tears threatened to drown the kingdom. Din and Nayru could not stem her grief and did what they could to save their peoples, for nothing can live in a sea of sorrow. But in the end, Hyrule was swept away and forgotten.

Holy Triforce, IT’S DONE.
I’d like to dedicate this piece to my sanity, which died somewhere around the time I was working on Din’s fabulous flames.

Done for HistoryofHyrule’s calendar contest.

2 years ago, I started writing a little blurb about the events between Ocarina of Time and The Wind Waker that morphed into an epic. I think I’m on draft 6 at the moment.

Surely if the goddesses wanted to wipe out the threat that is/was Ganondorf, there would have easier/saner/less messy ways to do it than a flood. Meteor? Lightning? Fatal disease? Sudden onset of rheumatoid arthritis? Just spitballing here, Ladies.

Special thanks to my sisters, talinbirnelli and elephanturd, the first for body references and the latter for mad photo editing skillz, because the camera ate all the colors, boooo!!
